Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide services including but not limited to:
- Handling general IP matters, particularly in the prosecution of trademark applications;
- Applying knowledge of Australian Consumer Law;
- Drafting commercial contracts, such as franchise agreements, IP licences, and supply and distribution agreements;
- Managing litigation and dispute resolution in relation to IP and the Australian Consumer Law;
- Practising IT law and privacy law;
- Managing general commercial law tasks.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of post-admission experience in Intellectual Property and Information Technology law, ideally within a mid-tier national or specialist IP/IT firm. Whether you are currently a Lawyer or Associate, we welcome applications from those with experience in both non-contentious and contentious IP matters. If you are a lawyer with strong technical skills in IT law, privacy law and a keen interest in commercial contracts and dispute resolution, we encourage you to apply.
