THE ROLE:
In this role, you’ll manage residential conveyancing from start to finish, supported by skilled lawyers and two enthusiastic third-year law students who assist with administrative tasks. You'll play a key role in mentoring these students as they develop their skills.
KEY DUTIES:
- Manage all aspects of residential conveyancing from pre-signing through to post-settlement.
- Review and advise on proposed contracts, identifying any issues for solicitor review.
- Prepare and edit contracts, documentation, and correspondence.
- Draft and prepare Conveyancing Protocol documents.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, buyers’ agents, and clients’ accountants.
- Conduct and analyse searches, draft Titles Office documents, and handle settlement preparation.
- Manage billing, final letters, and archiving.
- Supervise and mentor law students in their administrative and professional development.
- Develop and maintain precedents.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in conveyancing.
- Proficiency in A-Z management of conveyancing files, REIQ Residential and Commercial Land contracts, and Queensland Titles Office procedures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to be the primary contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Skilled in using PEXA and OSR Online.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Professional presentation and effective time management.
- Experience in coaching or supervising junior staff is advantageous.
