ROLE
A rare opportunity exists for a 2-4 year PAE Tax Lawyer to join this leading taxation group. You will work with a diverse client base, including high-profile national, government, and global clients, under the guidance of a highly respected Partner.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on tax and revenue matters, including entity structuring and restructuring
- Providing strategic tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, and debt/equity funding
- Managing disputes with the ATO and QRO, including objections and appeals
- Assisting clients with ATO audits, reviews, and compliance matters
- Drafting tax-related agreements such as tax-sharing agreements, employee share schemes, and service entity agreements
- Representing clients in appeals before the AAT, QCAT, Federal Court, and Supreme Court
- Supporting commercial transactions by ensuring tax-efficient structuring and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years PAE in tax law, gained at a recognised specialist firm or commercial practice
- Strong drafting skills, with an ability to provide clear, commercially focused tax advice
- A genuine interest in tax law, with a strong technical foundation and commercial awareness
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
