THE ROLE
This is a strategic opportunity for a Special Counsel to take a leadership role within a dynamic and high-performing team. The role involves providing expert advice and advocacy in a broad range of employment law matters, including but not limited to:
- Employment-related claims such as unfair dismissal, general protections, and discrimination
- Representation at conciliation conferences and tribunal appearances
- Advising on employment terms, enterprise agreements, modern awards, and other legislative entitlements
- Assisting clients with performance management and drafting employment contracts, settlement agreements, and policies
A highly motivated individual who has a focus on providing excellent client service and is ready to step into a leadership role within one of Queensland’s premier Employment & Safety teams.
Key qualifications include:
- 5+ years PAE in employment law
- Strong advocacy skills (preferred)
- The ability to manage a file load independently and build strong client relationships
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
