Working closely alongside industry leaders you will provide advise on a broad range of matters which will involve drafting and advising on:
- Employment agreements and contracts;
- Drafting and advising on enterprise agreements;
- General protection issues including unfair dismissal proceedings and unlawful terminations, discrimination, workplace harassment, and bullying claims;
- Workplace health and safety risk management advice as well as prosecution defence work; and restraint of trade issues.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Proven experience within a workplace relations and employment law group;
- Admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland;
- Eligibility or enrolment to practice in the Federal and High Courts of Australia;
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation including Industrial Relations Act 1999, Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Public Service Act 2008;
- Exceptional drafting skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills of a high professional standard;
- A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team environment.
