In the Compliance & Risk space Law Staff acts for a range of institutional corporates, government owned corporations, local government, and sizeable law firms advising their clients across the full risk spectrum from non-contentious to contentious issues including:
- risk analysis, compliance and audits
- risk mitigation strategies, development of policy and risk management tools
- transition resulting from business model changes and technology disruption
- new and emerging risk elements relating to climate change and sustainability, class actions and cyber security
- assessment of environmental liability and statutory liability
- risks relating to regulatory compliance including product liability, occupational health and safety, and workers compensation
- insurance and self-insurance options across directors and officers insurance, indemnity, property, and assets
- reviewing policies and contracts
- incident response, crisis management and claims; and
- policy termination and disputes
