THE ROLE
This national team has an abundance of work and a clearly defined business case for an additional Partner to service its national clients. Here you will gain access to cutting edge legal matters while maintaining a reasonable work life balance in a dynamic and inclusive environment with gender equity.
You will work closely with other industry leaders on advisory and litigious matters including:
- Drafting and negotiation of cultural heritage and native title agreements for the energy and resources sectors.
- Drafting landowner agreements, land access agreements, compensation agreements, and mining lease applications.
- Providing strategic advice on State & Federal environmental processes, land acquisition, overlapping tenure, and regulatory approval processes.
- Complex litigation including Land Court issues as well as advice, mediations and negotiation in relation to native title applications and determinations in the Supreme, Federal, Full Federal, High Court and Court of Appeal.
To secure this role, you will have:
- a strong industry profile as an Energy & Resources Lawyer with a specialist capability in Native Title and Cultural Heritage Law.
- an ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a large collaborative team environment.
- as well as currently be at Partner or Special Counsel level (or equivalent) in a prominent or respected specialist practice.
